The offer goes like this. You click the link on the power wiki, it gives you a random superpower. You now have that superpower.

But then, you must go use a random number generator to generate a number between 1 and 20. Then you will count on the wikipedia list of diseases by year of discovery until you find the corresponding disease in the sequence. You will now have that disease, in addition to that superpower.

If the superpower in some way cancels out the disease, like say getting a healing factor that could be expected to cure it, then you lucked out. There's no downside.
